Questions

What happens after I take the photo?

Fili reads the shop, date, total and line items, translates the item names, converts the prices into your budget currency, and assigns a budget category to each line. You check the result before saving.

What language are items translated into?

English. The original names stay with the receipt.

Which currencies?

36. Conversion uses the rate for the receipt’s date. Converted amounts are estimates and can differ from your bank’s charge.

Is this a receipt scanner app or an expense tracker?

Both. Scanning is how an expense gets created; everything after that is ordinary expense tracking.

Do my friends need to join?

No. You keep your own records. Joining a shared budget from the app is not in this beta.
